Drastically decrease if not prevent entirely, manga yellowing!
Protect your manga from air, dirt, dust and water, which cause warping and yellowing: buy adhesive resealable poly bags. The bags provide easier access to your books than plastic containers and look far better on bookshelves. One bag can be used per volume and only cost around .05cents a bag when bought in bulk. Furthermore, unlike ziplock bags the adhesive resealable poly bags come in various sizes which will better fit each volume of manga . More importantly, if the manga is stored in a clean area then the adhesive is less likely to wear out than the zipper on a ziplock bag.
1,000 6"wX8"h poly bags for $34 + $14 shipping via 2day UPS Ground
For standard size manga
1,000 7"wX10"h poly bags for $41+$14 shipping via 2day UPS Ground
For wider and taller manhwa and graphic novel sizes
*** If you have a fair amount of manhwas ( korean manga) or graphic novels I reccommend the second option. The extra inches can always be pulled down when you seal the bag.
Uline is a shipping products company and have the best deal I have found online. You can buy individual packs of 100 poly bags from various websites but those cost anywhere from 5.99 to 10.99 each + shipping. It is a better deal to buy in bulk for $48 to 55 dollars ( with shipping) that way when your collection grows you don't have to buy more poly bags and spend more money. Furthermore, Uline gives you the size options listed above and many more! Whereas, the 100 packs featured on other sites will only fit standard manga size volumes.
If you absolutely do not wish to buy 1,000 poly bags but would like to purchase a 100 pack:
Amazon poly bags
Rightstuf poly bags
( Keep in mind Rightstuf requires the purchaser to sign for their package on delivery and will charge extra shipping fees if the purchaser is unavailable and the item must be redelivered.)

Websites I recommend for savings on manga purchases and why!
I have had safe and satisfactory transactions on the websites listed below:
- Abesbooks At this site you can immediately purchase the items you are looking for at the listed price. This website has a wide selection of manga and MOST are at a cheap price! Many items on this site offer FREE shipping! Furthermore, this website usually ships their books in plastic mailers rather than bubble mailers. Why is this important? Well, for those of you who-- like me-- recycle plastic bags you can recycle the packaging of your purchased item(s)! You can earn 5% of your purchase back at Mrrebates
- Ebay This is a wonderful website with a wide selection. There are many useful buttons available for you to navigate through this site's enormous database! You can even search for only FREE shipping items. Many items can be purchased immediately through "Buy it Now", but the best deals are often found in auction format sells. A lot of auctions start out at .99 cents. I have purchased various manga's and even complete series of manga's for anywhere from 50 to 80% less than the bookstore price. Furthermore, if you use this site long enough Ebay offers you an options to sign up for Ebay Bucks which gives you 2% back on your purchases. Furthermore, you can earn an additional 3% back by using Mrrebates or you can use Bigcrumbsand get 36% off Ebay's commission fee.
- Half.com This website is a separate branch operated by Ebay. You purchase your items immediately for the listed price. There are no auctions. However, this site offers many books from acceptable to like new condition at 75 cents plus 3.49 to 3.99 in shipping. Not all books can be purchased for 75 cents, of course, but most do have a selections that ranges from 75 cents to whatever! As far as I have seen, you will always pay shipping on this website. 5% cashback can be earned through Mrrebates
- Barnes and Noble is your classic bookstore and I spend a lot of my spare time in the local store. However, purchasing online is a better deal than in store because the manga prices online are 10% cheaper than the in store price and if you have a Members Card ( which cost 20 bucks and lasts for a year) you can save an additional 10%. You automatically get FREE shipping on purchases of $25 dollars or more. AND guess what? You get 4% cashback via Mrrebates
- Betterworldbooks is another great sight! Used manga is usually $3.97 with FREE shipping! Plus, this site sometimes has great sales where you can buy books and manga for even cheaper! Finally, you can save an additional 3% via Mrrebates
- BookCloseOuts is an incredible sight! I recently bought 10 mangas on sale there for $10.90 + 4.56 in S & H.( Keep in mind their main base is in Canada so that's a cheap fee for us Americans!) Their prices are normally 50-90% off the list price per book. ( Yes, this applies to all books not just manga!) Furthermore, you can save 6% via Mrrebates! On top of that if you spend $35 dollars then you can save $5 dollars by using a coupon. Just do a google search to find the code! ( Note: I have not tried the coupon yet, but I plan to next paycheck!!!)
- Amazon is a popular site like Ebay, but while Amazon has the advantage of buying every item immediately for a stated price, it also has the disadvantage of not being a part of the Mrrebates program! Still, I have found a few good deals on this site. Mainly, I use Amazon to spend my reward cards I have earned at Swagbucks because an Amazon card uses fewer points than a Paypal card. For more information on Swagbucks click the featured link or visit my other Blog: Window to a Soul
- Mile High Comics this website offers both weekly and daily sales on VIZ and Dark Horse manga as well as DC and Marvel. Free shipping within the U.S. for purchases over $20 dollars. This site sells not only Trade Paper Back (TBC) manga/ comics but floppy versions as well. Therefore, if you prefer a certain type of manga be sure to look closely at the image. If you see a barcode on the bookcover then the manga is in the older floppy format. The drawbacks: unless the manga is published by VIZ or Dark Horse then, typically, the manga is overpriced; Mile High Comics does not take part in the the Mrrebates program.
